About
Friends of Muskoka Midwives (FOMM) was created to showcase the benefits of midwifery care in an honest and truthful light, while dispelling any myths. We are motivated by the belief that pregnancy is a natural state of health and childbirth is a normal and powerful process. Our hope is that all expectant Muskokan families can share this belief as well.
We feel that this organization plays a crucial role in ensuring that all Muskoka residents are aware of their options for maternity care. We support the belief that care should be woman-centred and family-inclusive. The midwives’ vast knowledge, extensive experience, and absolute respect for those they care for allows for this type of attention.
In essence, we believe that women, babies and their families need Midwives.
