The Birth of Beckett

Born October 9, 2012

After two hospital births I was skeptical about using a midwife as I really wasn't very educated on these beautiful souls. Upon moving to Muskoka I must admit that the Midwives of Muskoka had a nice ring to it. I decided I would give it a try for my third and final baby. But of course I was determined to still have a hospital birth no matter what and I made that clear on my first visit with my lovely midwife.

Near the end of my pregnancy I surprisingly had a change of heart and expressed to her that I would like to try to stay home. Well I did it!!! Beckett was born at home in my bathtub, en caul (which I also think is pretty cool).

Although each of my births were incredibly beautiful and special, the experience of midwifery care is something I will truly cherish forever!

Thank you Barb ♡
